He married, say 1835, Achsah Philena Balch, daughter of John and Lydia (Reed) Balch. She was born 24 Aug 1804, Chester, VT, and died 1 Jan 1894, age 88 years, 4 months. She was buried in Center Cemetery, Hartland, VT.

In 1870, he and Achsah were listed as farmers and also apparently running a poor house in Hartland, VT.
