Isaac Whitney, parentage unknown but perhaps related to Thomas Whitney (1714-1796), born about 1780,[1] died after 1850.[2]

He was probably the Isaac Whitney who married 29 Mar 1804, Somerset Co., MD, Betsy Gurney.[3] She was born between 1786 and 1775, and died after 1820.

Isaac and Betsy (Gurney) Whitney apparently had at least six sons and two daughters, but their names are not current known.
