Family:Whitney, J. Wesley (1840-1893)

J. Wesley⁷ Whitney (Sewell Pitt⁶, Barnabas⁵, Isaac⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Sewell Pitt⁶ and Annie (Tuttle) Whitney, was born 4 Jul 1840, Freeman, ME, and died 20 May 1893, prob. Temple, ME. He "Wesley" was buried in the Riverside Cemetery, Farmington, ME.^[1]

He married 1 Aug 1861, Freeman, ME, Ann Augusta Furbish,^[2] daughter of Abraham and Nancy (Peterson) Furbish. She was born 12 Jul 1842, Freeman, ME, and died 14 Jun 1921. She was buried in the Riverside Cemetery, Farmington, ME.^[3]

Wesley Whitney resided in Freeman, ME in the censuses of 1850 through 1880, and in 1883 removed to Strong, ME, and subsequently to Temple, ME. He was a farmer.

Wesley and Ann are buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Farmington, ME.
