James Whitney (Alexander, James, [poss.] Isaac4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Alexander and Barbara (Winslow) Whitney, was born 9 Aug 1820, Cumberland, ME, and died 19 Apr 1894, Gray, ME.
He married, 18 or 30 Mar 1846, Cumberland, ME, Emeline Stubbs.[1] She was born Oct 1828, Cumberland, ME, and died 23 May 1915. She may be the Emeline Stubbs, daughter of Edward and Eliza Ann (Day) Stubbs, born 20 Sep 1828, Freeport, ME.
