James6 Whitney (Ezekiel5, James4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of Ezekiel5 and Patience (Bailey) Whitney, was born say 1785, in CT, and died 1835, Weedsport, NY.
He married, 19 Feb 1814, Saugerties, NY, Sarah Trumpbour, daughter of Valentine and Christina (Eligh) Trumpbour. She was born Nov 1791, Saugerties, NY, and died after Nov 1873.
Phoenix says the following:
- "James Whitney, b. in Conn.; a farmer; married, 19 Feb. 1814, at Trumpboursville, in Saugerties, N. Y., Sarah Trumpbour, born at Saugerties, in Nov. 1791, dau. of Valentine and Christina (Eligh) Trumpbour. They settled in Saugerties, and about 1832 or 1833, moved to Weedsport, N. Y., where he died, in 1835, and was buried. She was living at 259 West 43d Street, New York City, in Nov. 1873, with her memory so broken by paralysis that very little could be learned, beyond a partial family-record which she had kept."
