On 25 Aug 1871, he registered as a voter, when he was recorded as a merchant, aged 24, born LA, living at Cosmopolitan [?Hotel?], San Francisco, San Francisco Co., CA. On 30 Aug 1886, he registered as a voter, when he was recorded as aged 40, born LA, living at Lincoln, Placer Co., CA. He was still on the roll in 1888.
