Family:Whitney, James M. (1815-b1860)
James M.7 Whitney (Ezekiel6, Ezekiel5, John4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Ezekiel6 and Catherine (Anson) Whitney, was born 12 Mar 1815, Watertown, MA.[1] I am convinced he is the same as James M. Whitney, b. ca. 1815, whose records are shown below, although proof has not yet been found. He died between 1850 and 1860.
Marriage intentions were published 11 Nov 1836, Boston, MA, for him and Sarah Bowden, daughter of Thomas and Sarah (-----) Bowden.[2] She was born about 1820, Castine, ME, and died 23 May 1886, Somerville, MA, aged 13 years 2 months 14 days [sic].[3] She m.(2) 29 May 1862, Newton, MA, James Lovell Cutter, b. ca. 1837, Boston, MA, son of James Madison and Hannah (Follette) Cutter, as his second wife.[4] He died 14 Oct 1887, Danvers, MA, aged 52 years, of general paralysis.[5]

Jackson, son of Amasa and Lucy F. (-----) Jackson;[7] m.(2) 16 Aug 1876, Cambridge, MA, Edmund/Edmond/Edward Wilson, son of Joseph and Elmira (-----) Wilson.[8] ii. Emalissa Whitney, b. ca. 1843, MA (possibly the same as the next). iii. Sarah M. Whitney, b. ca. 1843, MA (possibly the same as the preceding); m.(1) 20 Jul 1862, Newton, MA, William Henry Wentworth, b. ca. 1841, West Roxbury, MA, son of James Madison and Elizabeth Payson (Humphrey) Wentworth;[9] m.(2) 23 May 1872, Watertown, MA, Joseph L. Wilson, b. ca. 1842, Damariscotta, ME, son of Joseph and Elmira (-----) Wilson.[10]
