John7 Whitney (Daniel6, Abijah5, Daniel4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of Daniel6 and Lydia (Newbury) Whitney, was born 3 Feb 1802, Pawling, NY, and died after 1880.
He married, 22 Nov 1827, Enfield, NY, Lucinda Lovell, daughter of Moses and Susanna (Baker) Lovell. She was born 23 Jul 1809, Enfield, NY, and died after 1880.
Phoenix says the following:
- ". . . a lumberman and farmer . . . . They dwelt, for three years, in Cameron, N.Y.; then settled in Enfield; and, in 1839, moved to Newfield, N.Y., where they were living in March 1875."

Bradford Whitney, b. 7 Apr 1844, Newfield, NY; d. 4 Jun 1848, Newfield, NY, and was buried there. ix. Elvira Whitney, b. 24 Mar 1850, Newfield, NY; and was living there in Mar 1875, with her parents, unmarried. x. Amy Caroline Whitney, b. 4 May 1852, Newfield, NY; d. 15 Oct 1860, Newfield, NY, and was buried there.
