Family:Whitney, John (1811-1861)
John1 Whitney (Robert), son of Robert and Susannah (Ladds) Whitney, was baptized 22 Sep 1811, Little Stukeley, Huntingdonshire, and died 26 Nov 1861.[1]
He married, 18 May 1836, Bourne, Lincolnshire, Mary Ann Land. She was born 18 Jul 1813, Worcestershire, England, and died 10 Nov 1900, Marion Co., OR.[2]
Both are buried in Butteville Cemetery, Butteville, OR.
Arrived in New York, 8 Apr 1845, on the General Parkhill, from Liverpool:

They apparently were in Missouri briefly before moving to the Oregon Territory.
