Family:Whitney, John (c1783-a1870)
John Whitney, parentage unknown, was born about 1783, CT, and died after 1870.
He married, 15 Aug 1825, Killingly, CT, Esther Graves, 2nd, both of Killingly,[1] daughter of Whitney and Esther (Youngs) Graves, and granddaughter of Lebbeus and Amity5 (Whitney) Graves. She was born about 1796, CT, and apparently died between 1830 and 1840.
He was a farmer.
Children of John and Esther (Graves) Whitney, possibly incomplete:
i. Lorenzo D. Andrew Whitney, b. ca. 1825; d. after 1880; m. Mary (-----) Shippee. No known children, but three step-children.
Notes
It is possible that he was a son of Asa5 and Alithea (-----) Whitney.
