Family:Whitney, John Stone (1783-1850)

John Stone⁶ Whitney (Daniel⁵, Daniel⁴, Jonathan³, Jonathan², John¹), son of Daniel⁵ and Katy (Stone) Whitney, was born 20 Jun 1783, Marlborough, MA,^[1] and died 9 Jul 1850, Madrid, NY, aged 65 years. He was buried in Doran Cemetery, Madrid, NY.^[2]

He married, 30 Apr 1809, Martha Woodbridge, daughter of William and Martha (Patterson) Woodbridge. She was born 12 Jun 1787, VT, and died 4 Sep 1870, Madrid, NY, aged 83 years, probably Canton, NY. She was buried in Doran Cemetery, Madrid, NY.^[3]

iii.	Mary Whitney, b. 13 May 1816, Saint Lawrence Co., NY; d. 1898; m. Abel A. Simmons, b. 1814, d. 1893. Both are buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Canton, NY.
