Family:Whitney, Jonathan (1771-1839)
Jonathan6 Whitney (Jonathan5, Zaccheus4, Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Jonathan5 and Mary (Wyman) Whitney, was born 27 Mar 1771, Lancaster, MA,[1] was baptized 31 Mar 1771, Lancaster, MA,[2] and died 22 Jan 1839, Brighton, MA.[3]
He married, 24 Nov 1801, Boston, MA,[4] Esther Green Stetson, daughter of John and Joanna (Green) Stetson. She was born 7 Sep 1781, Hingham, MA, and died 15 Aug 1843, Brighton, MA.[5] They lived in Boston, MA. The entire family (those who died before 1874) were relocated from an unknown cemetery to Mount Auburn Cemetery and re-interred on 29 May 1874, per cemetery records.

Whitney, b. ca. 2 Nov 1812, Boston, MA; d. 13 Feb 1873, Boston, MA, aged 60 years 3 months 11 days, of apoplexy; unmarried.[9] v. Frances S. Whitney, b. ca. 30 Jan 1818, Boston, MA; d. 9 Jun 1877, Boston, MA, aged 59 years 4 months 9 days, of debility, neurlagia, and abcess;[10] m. 28 Jan 1858, Boston, MA, Charles Allen Browne, 43, druggist, b. ca. 1814, Salem, MA, and died 1 Mar 1893 Boston, MA, son of James and Lydia (Vincent) Browne, as his second wife.[11]
