Jonathan Whitney, parentage unknown. He was born possibly about 1785, and died between 1830 and 1840.

Marriage intentions were published 20 Oct 1827, Danvers, MA, for him and Susan Wilkins "of Salem".[1] He "of Danvers" married, 27 Nov 1827, Salem, MA, "wid." Susan (Low)(Morgan) Wilkins,[2] daughter of Daniel and Mary (Luscomb) Low. She was born 17 Jan 1786, Salem, MA, and died 3 Oct 1864, Roxbury, MA, or Salem, MA, aged 79 years 8 months, of chronic diarrhea.[3] She had married firstly, 19 Apr 1812, Salem, MA, John Morgan. She "Mrs." had married secondly, 15 May 1817, Salem, MA, Joseph H. Wilkins "of Concord, N.H."

Children of Jonathan and Susan (Low)(Morgan)(Wilkins) Whitney, if any, unknown.

The two children aged 10-14 appearing in the 1830 census were probably hers by her earlier husbands.
