Joseph8 Whitney (Nathan7, Abijah6, Joseph5, John4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Nathan7 and Martha (Stearns) Whitney, was born 28 Sep 1811, Lincoln, MA,[1] and died 18 Dec 1893, Waltham, MA, aged 82 years 3 months, of paralysis.[2]
Marriage intentions were published 3 Sep 1832, Waltham, MA, for him "of Lincoln" and Ann Cook.[3] He married, 2 Oct 1832, Lincoln, MA, Ann Cook "of Waltham",[4] daughter of James and Mary (White) Cooke. She was born about 10 Oct 1812, Boston, MA, and "Annie" died 20 Jan 1899, Saugus, MA, aged 86 years 3 months 10 days, of old age.[5]
He resided in Waltham, MA. All four children are buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Chelsea, MA.

Henry Albert Whitney, b. 29 May 1840, Lincoln, MA;[11] d. aft. 1865.
