Joseph Cushing⁸ Whitney (Silas⁷, Silas⁶, Samuel⁵, William⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Silas⁷and Hannah (Cushing) Whitney, was born 23 Jan 1818, Walpole, NH,^[1] and died 1886, Baltimore, MD.

He married, 3 Feb 1842, Baltimore, MD, Florence Eliza Weston, daughter of Asahel and Nancy (Alden) Weston. She was born Mar 1824, MD, and died 1907, Baltimore, MD.

She descends from John¹ Alden, "Mayflower" passenger, 1620.

He resided Baltimore, MD.
