Buckland Inhabitants

The inhabitants of Buckland were indicted for the decay of highway in the parish leading from Dover to Sandwich, and James Deacon and Robert Baseley, two of the inhabitants appeared for all the inhabitants, and have spent money for the discharge of the indictment, the fine and their expences, it is ordered that all the occupiers of lands in the parish and also the inhabitants shall pay James Deacon and Robert Baseley the money they have spent and any person neglecting to pay the sess a justice of the peace shall bind them over with good sureties to appear at the next sessions [at Canterbury] to answer their contempt.

Wingham Inhabitants

The like order for Henry Beard and Robert Morris, two of the inhabitants of Wingham, for the decay of a highway leading from Wingham to Shaterling in Wingham.

Eastry Inhabitants

The like order for Saphir Paramore and Thomas Hatcher, two of the inhabitants of Eastry, for the decay of a highway in the parish leading from Deal to Canterbury.

Boughton [under] Blean Inhabitants

The like order for Stephen Lacy and Henry Shrubsole, two of the inhabitants of Boughton under Blean, for the decay of a highway in Boughton Street near the Smith's forge.

Barham Inhabitants

The like order for John Johnson and Christopher Dully, two of the inhabitants of Barham, for the decay of a highway being in Covert Wood near Palmested leading from Kingston to Denton.

John White Apprentice discharged

John White was bound apprentice to Leonard Whitney of the precincts of the Cathedral church of Christ, Canterbury, cordwainer, and served three years but Leonard Whitney has lately gone away with his family unto parts unknown and left his apprentice destitute for eleven weeks. Ordered that John White is discharged from his apprenticeship, in testimony whereof four justices of the peace, of which one is of the Quorum, have at the present general session set their hands and seals. Enrolled among the records of the county by A. Broughton, clerk of the peace.

John Ethericke

John Eve has served the office of a constable for the upper half hundred of Aloesbridge for a whole year and no court leet has been held for the choice of any other constable. This court discharges John Eve from his office and appoints John Ethericke in his place who shall go to a justice of the peace to take the oath of a constable.
