Lloyd Coleman¹⁰ Whitney (Hugh Monticello⁹, Melvin⁸, Erastus⁷, Ezra⁶, Ezra⁵, John⁴, Isaiah³, Thomas², John¹), son of Hugh Monticello⁹ and Mathilda Caroline (Heberlein) Whitney, was born 3 May 1893, Minneapolis, Hennepin Co, MN, and died 17 May 1961, Inglewood, Los Angeles Co., CA.

He married, 4 Feb 1919, Springfield, Sangamon Co, IL, Anna Mathilda Martha Schottlander, daughter of Emanuel and Anna Mathilde (Kubon) Schottländer. She was born 26 Apr 1890, St. Louis, MO, and died 18 May 1984, Bellflower, Los Angeles Co, CA.

On 22 Mar 1928, they were residing at 437 1/2 N. Spaulding Avenue, Hollywood, CA.

Lloyd Whitney was a tool and die maker, and when he came to California, he got a job at Paramount Studios working on their equipment. He started at Paramount sometime before 1929. Over time, he became a 'projectionist', and was responsible for showing the movies to all of the movie stars and Hollywood elite on Paramount Studios. His "lunch buddy" was famous designer Edith Head.

Lloyd and Anna owned a vacation home in the desert near Little Rock, CA.

Lloyd Whitney died of Coronary Occlusion and Generalized Arteriosclerosis and was buried 20 May 1961, Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, Los Angeles Co, CA.
