Lorenzo Andrew Whitney (John), son of John and Esther (Graves) Whitney, was born Oct 1824, Killingly or Stafford, CT, and died 12 May 1908, Rockville, Millis, MA, aged 85 years 1 month 21 days, of chronic intestinal nephritis.[1] He was buried in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston, MA.
He married firstly, between 1863 and 1870, Mary (-----) Shippee. She was born about 1818, CT, and died between 1870 and 1880.
He "Andrew L." married secondly, 23 May 1885, Boston, MA, Deborah Ann Betts, daughter of David and Susanna (Darby) Betts.[2] She was born 15 May 1836 [22 May 1829 per death record], Lot 17, Summerside, PEI, was baptized 26 Aug 1836, Richmond, PEI,[3] and died 13 Dec 1919, Quincy, MA, aged 90 years 6 months 22 days, of arteriosclerosis.[4] She was buried in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston, MA.
He was a veteran of the Civil War.
