Meriah⁵ Whitney (Joseph⁴, Joseph³, Jonathan², John¹), daughter of Joseph⁴ and Abigail (Nutting) Whitney, was born 30 May 1746, Pepperell, MA.^[1]

Marriage intentions were published 6 Jun 1777, Lunenburg, MA, for her "of Littleton" and Ebenezer Davis "of Ringe". She married, 26 Nov 1777, Townsend, MA, Ebenezer Davis "of Rindge, N.H.",^[2] son of Simon and Silence (-----) Davis. He was born 20 Oct 1743, Littleton, MA. He was also known as Lt. Ebenezer Davis.

i.	Simon Davis, b. 12 Nov 1778; d. 1 Jul 1841.
ii.	Ebenezer Davis, b. 10 May 1780; d. 17 Feb 1808, Acton, MA; m. 17 Sep 1801, Acton, MA, Abigail Faulkner.
iii.	Sally Davis, b. 1 Nov 1781; m. 4 May 1808, Rindge, NH, Rufus Bullock.
iv.	Joseph Davis, b. 15 May 1784; d. 27 Apr 1849.
v.	Polly Davis, b. 14 Jul 1790; d. 11 Aug 1869, Rindge, NH; m. 27 Apr 1815, Royalston, MA, Artemas Wilson.
