Moses Raymond⁶ Whitney (David Hyatt⁵, David⁴, Joseph³, John², Henry¹), son of David Hyatt⁵ and Nancy (Raymond) Whitney, was born 5 Oct 1811, Walton, NY, and died after 1880.

He married 28 Apr 1839, Boston, MA,^[1], or 25 Apr 1839, Boston, MA, Martha Maria Copeland, daughter of Seth Copeland. She was born 20 Jun 1812, Boston, MA, and died after 1880.

Phoenix says the following:

"Moses Raymond Whitney, b. in Walton, N. Y., 5 Oct 1811; a dealer in hardware; married, 25 Ap. 1839, at 36 Blossom Street, Boston, Mass., by Rev. Hubbard Winslow, Congregational, to Martha Maria Copeland, dau. of Seth Copeland, of Boston, where she was born 20 June 1812. He lived in New York City from 1833 to 1856; then moved to 102 Schermerhorn Street, Brooklyn, N. Y., where they were living in 1868."
