Nancy W.⁸ Whitney (Dennis⁷, Nathan⁶, David⁵, Nathan⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), daughter of Dennis⁷ and Rachel (Williams) Whitney, was born 29 Jun 1842, VA, and died 10 Mar 1920, Moundsville, VA.

She married, 1 Mar 1866, near Limestone, WV, George W. Cunningham, son of Levi and Sophia (Crow) Cunningham. He was born 4 Sep 1841, Limestone, WV, and died 27 Jun 1920, Moundsville, WV.

George Cunningham was a Civil War veteran, and received a pension from the U.S. government as a result of his service. George and Nancy are both buried in the Limestone Cemetery in Limestone, WV.
