Family:Whitney, Nathan (1769-1852)

Nathan⁶ Whitney (David⁵, Nathan⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of David⁵ and Rebecca (Edgecom) Whitney, was born 10 Sep or 9 Oct 1769, Gorham, ME,^[1] and died 4 Jun 1852, Marietta, OH, aged 83 years. He was buried in Hill Cemetery, Newport, OH.^[2]

Marriage intentions were published, 3 Mar 1796, Hallowell, ME, for him and Eunice Cottle,^[3] daughter of Isaac and Rhoda (Manchester) Cottle. She was born 10 Oct 1778, Martha's Vineyard, MA, and died 26 Aug 1870, Proctor, WV, aged 91 years 10 months 16 days. She was buried in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Wetzel Co., WV.^[4]
