Nathan7 Whitney (Daniel6, David5, Nathan4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Daniel and Louisa (Stubs) Whitney, was born 7 Mar 1793, Hampden, ME and died Jan 1870, Hampden, ME, aged 78 of consumption.[1]

He married firstly, 27 Jun 1816, Buckstown (Bucksport), ME, Mary "Mercy" Atwood, born about 1795, ME.

He "of Hampden" married secondly, 25 Apr 1844, Hampden, ME, "Mrs." Mercy (-----) Taylor of Orrington, ME.[2] She was born about 1795, ME, and died after 1850.

He "of Hampden" married thirdly, 28 or 27 Jan 1853, Frankfort, ME, widow Abigail (-----) Nelson "of Frankfort", ME.[3] She was born about 12 Apr 1807, ME, and died 25 Jan 1878, aged 70 years 9 months 13 days. She was buried in Bald Hill Cove Cemetery, Winterport, ME.[4] Given the list of Kneeland children in their family in 1860, it seems extremely likely that she was Abigail (-----) Kneeland. I cannot find her or her children in the 1850 census under either surname.

Children of Nathan7 and Mary (Atwood) Whitney, probably incomplete:

i. Rebecca8 Whitney
ii. Lovina Whitney, b. ca. 1828, ME.
iii. Janette Whitney, b. ca. 1830, ME.
iv. Mary J. Whitney, b. ca. 1832, ME.
v. Daniel Whitney, b. ca. 1833, ME, d. 29 Apr 1865; buried 2 May 1865, Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor, ME.
vi. Adolphus M. Whitney, b. ca. 1837, Hampden, ME; m. Harriet A. Monk.

Nathan7 and Mercy (-----)(Taylor) Whitney apparently had no children.

Nathan7 and Abigail (-----)(Nelson) Whitney apparently had no children.
