Nathaniel Whitney, parentage unknown, but probably the son of Nathaniel and Joanna (Hayward) Whitney, was born 1786, NH, died 10 Nov 1871, and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur, St. Lawrence Co., NY. If he was in fact the son of Nathaniel and Joanna (Hayward) Whitney, he was born 9 Apr 1786, Acworth, NH.

He married, about 1810, Clarissa Horr, parentage unknown. She was born about 1793, MA or NY, and died before 1873. She is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur, NY.
