Family:Whitney, Norman (c1801-1870)

Norman Whitney, parentage unknown (but see Notes below), was born about 1801, Oneida Co., NY, and died 28 May 1870, Phoenix, NY. He was buried in the Phoenix Cemetery, Phoenix, NY.^[1]

He married, 7 Feb 1827, Jane Millard, daughter of Amasa and Mary Jane (Hoose) Millard. She was born about 1809, Schoarie or Herkimer Co., NY, and died after 1870.

ii.	Ralph Whitney, b. ca. 1832, NY; d. aft. 1850.
iii.	Amasa Whitney, b. ca. 1834, Delaware Co., NY; d. aft. 1865.
iv.	Cornelia M. Whitney, b. Jun 1838, Onondaga Co., NY; d. 4 Mar 1904; m. bef. 1860, James Huntley.
v.	Horace Aiken Whitney, b. Jul 1840, Madison Co., NY; d. 1886, Washington, DC.

Notes

It is possible that he a son of Nathaniel⁷ Whitney (1772-1837), who lived in Oneida, Madison, and Onondaga Counties, NY, also.
