Orville V. Whitney (Alfred, Adolphus, Benjamin), son of Alfred and Aveline Frances (Young) Whitney, was born about 20 Sep 1850, Hartland, VT, and died 24 Oct 1880, Springfield, VT, aged 30 years 1 month 4 days.^[1] He was buried in Summer Hill Cemetery, Springvield, VT.^[2]

He married, 10 Dec 1870, Fitchburg, MA, Annette S. "Nettie" Wood, dau. of Zenas T. and Alvira (Kingsley) Wood.^[3] She was born about 1852, Springfield, VT, and died after 1883. She married secondly, 21 Jun 1883, Woodbury Co., IA, Luther Anthony, son of R. and E. (Jones) Anthony.^[4]
