Otis6 Whitney (Nathan5, Benjamin4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Nathan5 and Sarah (Godfrey) Whitney, was born 26 Mar 1802, Augusta, ME, and died 9 Mar 1872, Augusta, ME, aged 69 years.[1]
He married firstly, before 1834, Nancy Jones. She was born in Schenectady, NY and died before 1846.
Marriage intentions were published 27 Sep 1846, Augusta, ME, for him and his second wife Sarah C. Jackson "of Wrentham, Mass."[2] He "widr. of Augusta, Maine, son of Nathan and Sarah, a. 40 y." married secondly, 13 Oct 1846, Wrentham, MA, Sarah Catherine Jackson, daughter of Laban and Mary Ann (Meader) Jackson, "of Wrentham, MA" "dau. of Laban and Mary Ann, a. 21 y."[3] She was born 9 Dec 1825, Walpole, MA, and died 20 Oct 1909, Malden, MA, aged 83 years 10 months 11 days, of chronic bronchitis.[4]

Brown, b. ca. 1837, Brunswick, ME, son of Charles and Thirza G. (-----) Brown.[7] She is also recorded as Ann Jeanette. iii. Marion B. Whitney (son), b. ca. 1840, ME; d. after 1850; no further record found.
