Paul Whitney (Silas), son of Silas and Sarah (Howe) Whitney, was born 20 Jan 1819, Duxbury, VT, and died after 1880, probably MI.

He married, about 1852, Jane E. Clark, daughter of Rodolphus and Anna (Downer) Clark. She was born 14 Mar 1832, Duxbury, VT, and died 21 Mar 1914, Sandusky, OH.[1] She married secondly, 13 Mar 1898, Fairfield, MI, Watson Abbott, son of Jonathan and Nancy (Smalley) Abbott.[2]

They lived in Norfolk, NY, through 1870, then in Reading, MI.

iv. James Eugene Whitney, b. ca. 1863, NY; d. 20 May 1936, Ransom, MI, aged 73 years;[7] m. 10 May 1885, Amboy, MI, Midmetta Ogle.[8]
