Family:Whitney, Raymond (1805-a1880)
Raymond7 Whitney (Aaron Wilkes6, Ebenezer5, David4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), son of Aaron Wilkes6 and Sarah (Bennett) Whitney, was born 16 May 1805, Norwalk, CT, and died after 1880.
He married, 4 Jan 1835, Easton or Fairfield, CT, Marinda Silliman,[1] daughter of Deacon Justus Silliman. She was born 21 Mar 1806, Easton, CT, and died after 1868, and probably before 1870.
Phoenix says the following:
- "... a machinist and, since 1852, a farmer .... He was engaged with his brothers in carrying on a furnace, manufacturing plows, etc., in Bridgeport, Conn.; and afterward removed to North Fairfield, Ohio, where he was living in 1868."
