Samuel5 Whitney (Benjamin4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Benjamin4 and Elizabeth (Fiske) Whitney, was born 22 Nov 1715, Watertown, MA,[1] and died between 13 Dec 1805 and 8 Oct 1807.
He married firstly, 1 Mar 1742/3, Watertown, MA, Mary Clark, "both of Watertown".[2] She died 17 Aug 1763, Watertown, MA.[3]
He married secondly, 15 Jan 1765, Watertown, MA, Lydia Prentice "both of Watertown",[4] daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Cook) Prentice. She was born 11 Mar 1737, Watertown, MA, and died 8 May 1805, Watertown, MA.[5]

He left a will dated 13 Dec 1805 at Watertown, MA; of Watertown; brother Benjamin Whitney; sister Elizabeth Child; children of brother Benjamin Whitney; children of sister Elizabeth Child; Joseph Whitney, 2nd, son of Jonathan Whitney, late of Watertown, deceased; Peter Harrington; Nathaniel R. Whitney, executor; witnesses, Peter Warren, Miles Bright, and Saml. Barnes.
On 8 Oct 1807, Watertown, MA, his will was lodged for probate. His will was proved 10 Oct 1807, Watertown, MA, and Nathaniel R. Whitney was appointed executor of the estate of Samuel Whitney, late of Watertown, deceased, and posted bond, with John Fowle and Peter Warren, both of Watertown, as sureties.
On 5 Feb 1808, Watertown, MA, his inventory was taken by Leonard Bond, Francis Bright, and Nathll. Bright.
Samuel5 and Mary (Clark) Whitney had no children.
Samuel5 and Lydia (Prentice) Whitney had no children.
