Samuel9 Whitney (John Dudley8, Jonathan7, Jonathan6, Joseph5, Benjamin4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of John Dudley and Elizabeth (Doughty) Whitney, was born about May 1833, Westford, MA[1], and died 21 Nov 1913, Winthrop, MA.[2]
He married, 5 May 1856, Roxbury, MA, Ellen Connell, daughter of John and Margaret (-----) Connell.[3] She was born about 1836, New York, NY, or Ireland, and died 26 Feb 1883, Cambridge, MA, of consumption, age 44 years, 1 month.[4]
Enlisted as a Private on 22 October 1861 at the age of 27. Enlisted in Company E, 26th Infantry Regiment Massachusetts on 22 Oct 1861. Mustered Out Company E, 26th Infantry Regiment Massachusetts on 26 Aug 1865 at Savannah, GA. Occupation: Carpenter[5]

Whitney, "Albert E." b. 1 Jan 1870, Winchester, MA;[12] d. 5 Oct 1887, Cambridge, MA, aged 17 years 9 months 15 days, of consumption.[13] v. Frank Arthur Whitney, b. Jun 1873, MA; m. Eliza Jane Nixon. vi.
