Samuel Franklin8 Whitney (Samuel7, Samuel6, Samuel5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Samuel7 and Susanna (Kimball) Whitney, was born 17 Mar 1804, Fairfield, NY, and died 22 Mar 1886, Kirtland, OH.

He married, 26 Jun 1829, Geauga Co., OH, Eve Doane. She was born 24 Sep 1813, OH, and died 13 Oct 1859.

He married secondly, 31 Jul 1861, Cuyahoga Co., OH, Zama Jane Eddy, possibly daughter of Dennis and Climena (French) Eddy. She was born about 1829, OH, and died after 1910. Zama J. Eddy appears in the 1850 and 1860 censuses in East Cleveland, OH, in the family of Samuel and Sally (-----) McElrath.

Samuel Franklin8 and Zama Jane (Eddy) Whitney had no children.
