Silas Whitney (Daniel), son of Daniel and Eleanor (Vince) Whitney, was born about 11 Apr 1804, Belchertown, MA, and died 10 Jun 1890, Belchertown, MA, aged 86 yrs 1 month 30 days, married, farmer, b. Belchertown, parents Daniel & Elinor Whitney, died of old age, buried Belchertown.[1]
It was probably he who married firstly, 31 Jan 1835, Springfield, MA, Wealthy Haskins.[2]
It was probably he who married secondly, 7 Mar 1836, Springfield, MA, Laura Dunakin.[3] She was born about 1806, Hadley, MA, and died 21 Jan 1849, Cabotville, Chicopee, MA, aged 42 years, of lung fever.[4]
He married, probably thirdly, before 1849, Electa Wood, daughter of Edmund and Margaret "Peggy" (Holmes) Wood. She was born about 14 Feb 1807, Colrain, MA, and died 27 Oct 1896, Belchertown, MA, aged 89 years 8 months 13 days, of influenza.[5]
