Simon Woodbridge7 Whitney (Richard6, Simon5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Richard6 and Mary Elizabeth (Parker) Whitney, was born 21 Nov 1816, Amherst, MA, and died 24 Oct 1894, Amherst, MA, aged 76 years 11 months 3 days.[1]

He "of Amherst" married firstly, 11 Sep 1839, Ashfield, MA, Emeline L. Belding "of Whately",[2] daughter of Chester and Polly (Allis) Belding. She was born 16 May 1816, and died 27 Dec 1854, Amherst, MA, aged 38 years, of stricture of rectum.[3]

He married secondly, 7 Jun 1855, Sarah J. Ingram, daughter of J. Crocker and Sarah (Hastings) Ingram.[4] She was born 29 Jul 1830, Amherst, MA, and died 7 Jan 1884, Amherst, MA, aged 53 years 5 months 9 days, of angina pectoris.[5]

He "of Amherst" married thirdly, 28 Sep 1884, Amherst, MA (recorded Brookline, MA), Samantha (Briggs) Atherton, of Brookline, daughter of Amos and Sarah (Fisk) Briggs.{{ref|6)) She was born 30 Jan 1834, Shutesbury, MA.[6] She had married firstly, 20 Jan 1852, Shutesbury, MA, Josiah W. Atherton.[7]

He resided Amherst, MA.
