Family:Whitney, Sumner (c1801-1849)

Sumner⁸ Whitney ([?]Nathaniel⁷, John⁶, James⁵, James⁴, John³, Jonathan², John¹), possibly son of Nathaniel⁷ and Deborah (Eames) Whitney, was born about 1801, and died 14 May 1849, aged 48 years. He was buried in Christ Church Cemetery, Manlius, NY.^[1]

He married, say 1822, Marilla Cross, daughter of Reuben and Marilla (Hanks) Cross. She was born 11 May 1799, Mansfield, CT, and died Mar 1886, aged 87 years. She was buried in Manlius Village Cemetery, Manlius, NY.^[2]
