Jump to navigationJump to searchThankful4 Whitney (Joseph3, John2, Henry1), daughter of Joseph3 and Hannah (Hoyt) Whitney,[1] was born 1 Mar 1713/4, Norwalk, CT,[2] and died after 1757, New Canaan, CT.
She married, about 1732, Ebenezer Benedict, son of Thomas and Millison (Hyatt) Benedict. He was baptized 8 Oct 1708, Norwalk, CT, and died unknown.
Phoenix says the following:
- Thankful Whitney, b. in Norwalk, Conn., 1 March 1713-14; married Ebenezer Benedict, son of Capt. Thomas and Millison (Hyatt) Benedict, g. son of John and Phoebe (Gregory) Benedict and of Thomas and Mary (Sension) Hyatt, and g. g. son of Thomas and Mary (Bridgum) Benedict and of John and Sarah Gregory. They settled in the parish of New Canaan, Conn., where they were admitted to the church, Oct. 1733. ---See Benedict Genealogy, p. 54.

Esther Benedict, bapt. 26 Dec 1742, New Canaan, CT; no further record. vi. Anna Benedict, bapt. 3 Apr 1745, New Canaan, CT; no further record. vii.
