Thomas5 Whitney (Richard5, Richard4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of Richard5 and Ruth (Wilson) Whitney, was born 25 Oct 1791, Chariton, NY, and died 8 Feb 1844, Chautauqua, NY.
He married, 23 or 24 Jan 1814, Stockbridge, MA, Temperance Kennedy Davis,[1] of Stockbridge, daughter of Samuel and Ruth (Holley) Davis, of Lee. She was born 27 Mar 1791, Lee, MA, and died 4 Aug 1872, Chautauqua, NY.
Phoenix says the following:
- . . . a farmer; . . . . They dwelt in Westmoreland, N. Y., till 1821, then settled in Chautauqua, N. Y., and there passed the remainder of their lives. . . . . They were buried in Magnolia Cemetery.

Norman Kibbe Whitney, b. 9 Mar 1819, Westmoreland, NY; m. Anna Cecilia Ferris.
