Thomas⁷ Whitney (Francis⁶, Jonathan⁵, Matthias⁴, Cornelius³, Joshua², John¹), son of Francis⁶ and Hannah (Edwards) Whitney, was born 21 Jul 1830, Delaware Co., OH, and died 16 Apr 1908, Butler Co., KS. He was buried in Douglass Cemetery, Douglass, KS.^[1]

He married firstly, 14 Dec 1851, Whitley Co., IN, Elizabeth Komp,^[2] daughter of Henry and Margaret Elisabeth (Deetz) Komp. She was born 17 Jan 1833, and died 22 Dec 1854. She was buried in Stough Cemetery, Columbia City, IN.^[3]

He married secondly, 22 Jul 1858, Whitley Co., IN, Rosanna (Sine) Blakely,^[4] daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Dye) Sine. She was born 20 Oct 1830, IN, and died 13 Feb 1906, Butler Co., KS. She was buried in Douglass Cemetery, Douglass, KS.^[5] She had married firstly, 18 Feb 1849, Whitley Co., IN, John Blakely.^[6]
