Timothy5 Whitney (Daniel4, Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Daniel4 and Thankful (Allen) Whitney,[1] was born 25 Oct 1743, Shrewsbury, MA,[2] and died after 1810.
Timothy married, 8 Dec 1768, Shrewsbury, MA, Katherine Davenport,[3] daughter of Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Thatcher) Davenport. She was born 12 Aug 1747, Shrewsbury, MA, and died 19 Aug 1831, Boylston, MA, aged 84 years.[4]
Pierce says the following:[5]
- He resided in that part of Shrewsbury, subsequently incorporated as Boylston. He was in the Revolutionary war in Capt. Ezra Bemis' Company in 1777. Was one of the first selectmen and served 1786-87-88-89-90-91-92; town treasurer, 1796-97-98-99-1800-1801-1802 and assessor in 1788.
