Timothy5 Whitney (David4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), son of David4 and Elizabeth (Hyatt) Whitney, was born 13-24 Jul 1744, Norwalk, CT,[1] and died 15 Jun 1825, Norwalk, CT.

He married firstly, 25 Feb 1770, Norwalk, CT, Anna Wood,[2] daughter of Alexis Wood. She was born 3 Nov 1742, Norwalk, CT, and died 7 Aug 1785, Norwalk, CT,[3] aged 42 years 9 months 4 days.

He married secondly, 23 Apr 1786, Norwalk, CT, Abigail (Smith) Wood,[4] daughter of Eliakim and Abigail (Hoyt) Smith. She was born 25 Jul 1749, Norwalk, CT, and died 2 Nov 1803, Norwalk, CT, aged 54 years 3 months 7 days. She had married firstly, Alexis Wood.

Phoenix says the following:

He ... was buried in Norwalk. He did some service for his country, as a soldier in the war of the Revolution.

iii. Esther Whitney, b. 25 Jun 1775[8]; m. Lewis Lockwood.
iv. Timothy Whitney, b. 8 Nov 1777;[9] d. 1806, Havana, Cuba, probably unmarried.
v. Sarah Whitney, b. 12 Sep 1782;[10] d. 27 Feb 1873, Woodman, WI, unmarried.

viii. Elizabeth Whitney, b. 4 Jan. 1796;[13] m. 29 Nov. 1819, Norwalk, CT, Evert Quintard, a cabinet-maker and undertaker, born in Norwalk, 24 Jan. 1798, son of Isaac and Elizabeth (Picket) Quintard. They settled in Norwalk, where he was still in business in 1874, his two sons having been associated with lim for many years, in the firm of E. Quintard & Sons, till the death of the eldest, in 1873. She died in Norwalk, 26 Nov. 1851, and was buried in the Norwalk Union Cemetery. He married (2d), 3 March 1857, at Darien, Conn., Maria Mercy Whiting, widow of Abraham Weed St. John, of Darien. She died in Norwalk, 26 Ap. 1867, without children.

Anne may be an illegitimate daughter of Sarah (named after Sarah's mother). Sarah was unmarried, and her actual age was 68, and she was actually born in CT. She is living with her brother-in-law, husband of her sister Susan.
