Hon. William7 Whitney (William6, William5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of William6 and Mary (Mansfield) Whitney, was born 26 Jun 1764, Weston, MA,[1] was baptized 29 Jul 1764, Weston, MA,[2] and died 18 Jan 1846, Gardner, MA, aged 81 years 6 months 28 Days, of palsy.[3]
Intentions of marriage were published 18 Sep 1790, Gardner, MA, for him "Jr.", "of Winchendon" and Anna Heywood.[4] He married, 13 Jan 1791, Winchendon, MA, Anna Heywood "of Gardner",[5] daughter of Seth and Martha (Temple) Heywood. She was born 28 Jan 1770, Gardner, MA, and died 21 Jan 1846, Gardner, MA, aged 75 years 11 months 23 days, of palsy.[6]
Hon. William Whitney, was born in Winchendon, MA. In 1765, he early moved to Gardner, where he was a leading and influential citizen. He owned a large farm. For eleven years he was one of the board of selectmen, for twenty-five years assessor, and for three terms representative in the legislature. For many years he was justice of the peace. He resided Winchendon and Gardner, MA. Both buried at the same time.
