William Alonzo8 Whitney (Albion Paris7, Samuel6, Asa5, Nathan4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Albion Paris7 and Mary Jane (Pease) Whitney, was born 19 Sep 1854, Appleton or Winterport or Frankfort, ME, and died 19 Dec 1938, Methuen, MA.

He married firstly, 7 Nov 1874, Manchester, NH, Ella J. Tuttle, daughter of Melzar B. and Mary (Page) Tuttle.[1] She was born about 6 Nov 1854 Nashua, NH, and died 2 Feb 1908, Lawrence, MA, aged 53 years 3 months 26 days, of lobar pneumonia.[2]

He married secondly, 22 Dec 1909, Newton, MA [also recorded in Lawrence, MA], Gertrude Holbrook Churchill, daughter of George F. and Ella G. (Holbrook) Churchill.[3]. She was born 1876, Newton, MA.

They resided Lawrence, MA, 43 Butler St.

i. Ernest H.9 Whitney, b. ca. 26 Jul 1875, Lawrence, MA; d. 8 Aug 1876, Lawrence, MA, aged 1 year 12 days, of cholera infantum.[4]
ii. Grace Maud Whitney, b. Dec 1876, Lawrence, MA; d. 19 Oct 1902, Lawrence, MA, aged 25 years 10 months, of diabetes.[5]
iii. Florence Whitney, b. ca. 20 Aug 1893, Lawrence, MA; d. 24 Aug 1893, Lawrence, MA, aged 4 days of hemorrhage.[6]
