William C. Whitney, parentage unknown, was born say 1815, and died between 1840 and 1845.

He married, 12 May 1840, Palmer, MA, Elizabeth C. Bruce, daughter of Joel and Sally (-----) Bruce.[1] She was born about 1816, NH, and died after 1870, and probably before 1880. She married secondly, 19 Jan 1845, Palmer, MA, Ebenezer B. Hanks, of Enfield,[2] as his second wife.

Children of William C. and Elizabeth C. (Bruce) Whitney, if any, unknown. There were none living with Elizabeth in 1850.
