Family:Whitney, William G. (1811-a1870)
William G.7 Whitney (James6, Ezra5, James4, John3, Jonathan2, John1), son of James6 and Clarissa (Gould) Whitney, was born 12 May 1811, CT, and died after 1870.
He married firstly, Marita Draper.[1]
He married secondly, 15 Apr 1844, Uxbridge, MA, Martha Williams, daughter of Chester and Sarah (Draper) Williams.[2] She was born 14 Jan 1801, Uxbridge, MA, and died 8 Apr 1871, Woodstock, CT, aged 68 years.[3]
He supposedly died without issue.

i. Abby M.8 Whitney, b. ca. 1842, MA; d. after 1860. ii. George Clinton Whitney, b. Jun 1844, Wooksocket, RI; m. Elizabeth D. "Lizzie" Richardson.
Children of William G.7 and Martha (Williams) Whitney, if any, unknown.
Notes
Ballou is the only reference for the "Marita Draper" name. No record of her has been found. She may be identical to Martha Williams, whose mother was a Draper. The parentage of Abby if found might shed light on this issue.
