William Hutchings⁸ Whitney (Levi⁷, Reuben⁶, Abel⁵, Nathan⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Levi⁷ and Mary (Hutchings) Whitney, was born 11 Apr 1836, ME or 11 Apr 1838, Bowdoinham, ME, and died 13 Mar 1932, Richmond, ME.

He married, 21 Jan 1864, Lewiston, ME, Laura Emily Small. She was born circa 1843, ME, and died after 1880.

They resided Richmond, ME. In 1880 he was a furniture dealer.

William served in the Civil War. His pension records are available.
