William Lewis7 Whitney (Jonathan Rasselas6, Samuel Platt5, Uriah4, Nathan3, John2, Henry1), son of Jonathan Rasselas6 and Maria Louise (Moore) Whitney, was born 22 Nov 1830, Montville, OH, and died 10 Feb 1854, Montville, OH. He was buried in Montville Cemetery, Montville, OH.[1]
He married, 7 Sep 1853, Parkman, OH, Sarah Stoughton, daughter of Henry and Almira (Clapp) Stoughton. She was born 30 Apr 1833, Windsor, OH, and died after 1880. She married secondly, 3 Jun 1860, Windsor, OH, Marvin Richmond, son of Lansing and Asenath (-----) Richmond, born in Windsor, where they were living in 1874.
Phoenix says the following:
