Marriage intentions were published 27 Mar 1837, Lincoln, MA, for him and Sarah Wheeler "of Concord".[5] He "of Lincoln" married, 13 Apr 1837, Concord, MA, Sarah Wheeler "of Concord", by Rev. Barzillai Frost,[6] daughter of Jotham and Azubah (Whitcomb) Wheeler. She was born 15 Dec 1819, Lincoln, MA, and died 18 Jun 1883, Concord, MA. She married secondly, 10 Apr 1851, Concord, MA, Aaron A. Kelsey, b. ca. 1816, Shirley, MA, son of Daniel and Sarah (-----) Kelsey, as his second wife.[7] He died 15 Aug 1855, Concord, MA.

He was a retired master mariner; at present a fruit grower in Florida. Children: a. Helen Whitney Kelley, b. 19 Dec 1863. b. Emma Wheeler Kelley, b. 26 Mar 1866.

Caroline Azubah Whitney, b. 18 Oct 1840, Concord, MA;[10] m. 13 Apr 1862, Concord, MA, Henry Lyman Whitcomb, b. 8 Dec 1835, Nelson, NH, son of Dexter and Rebecca (Griffin) Whitcomb;[11] resided Concord, MA; merchant. iii. Ellen Frances Whitney, b. 21 Mar 1843; d. after 1880; unmarried; resided Concord.
