James Henderson² Widney (Charles¹, James), son of Charles¹ and Mary Dolly (Henderson) Whitney, was born 27 Apr 1808, perhaps Franklin Co., PA, and died 7 Mar 1889, Anthony, FL.

He married, 18 Dec 1834, Sharpsburg, KY, Ann Elizabeth Adams Tydings, daughter of Richard H. and Eliza Alexander Lawyer (Adams) Tydings. She was born 19 Jun 1818, VA, and died 20 Jul 1842, Sharpsboro, KY.

In 1850 he was listed as a dagueman, indicating that he was a daguerreotype photographer.
