He married Eliza (-----) Stevens, a widow. She was born circa 1809, Chinnor, Oxfordshire, England. She was listed in 1841 as a widow with several children, and in 1851 her daughters Ann and Elizabeth Stevens were living with the family.

He was an agricultural laborer.
