Benjamin Dexter7 Whitney (Benjamin6, Micha5, Abel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Benjamin6 and Susan (Wells) Whitney, was born 27 Dec 1841, Madrid, ME, or Phillips, ME,[1] and d. 13 May 1917, Milltown, Calais, ME. (Note: his birth is recorded in the Phillips, ME Vital records; his death record says b. Madrid, ME)

He married, 6 Aug 1865, Phillips, ME, Annis B. Ross,[2] daughter of William and Eunice (Hoar) Ross. She was born 17 Apr 1847, and died 1926, Phillips, ME.

He is a millwright and mechanical engineer; resided Gardiner, ME.

They are buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Phillips, ME.
